Meal Plan Day 10: Teriyaki Chicken and Rice

I love food court Teriyaki Chicken. I really, really do.

So, when I was searching for make-ahead freezer meals and found a recipe for a Teriyaki marinade, I knew I had to give it a shot.

This was even better than food court food, if you can believe that.

I froze 3 chicken thighs in the marinade. When the time came to cook it, I seared the chicken on the stove, then poured in the marinade into the pan to let it soak into the chicken and thicken into a gooey brown sauce.

The meat pulls right off the bone and goes great with rice and a side of stir fry veggies!

As a reminder, here is the recipe for the marinade:

Teriyaki Chicken:
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp White Wine
1 1/2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 1/2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 Tbsp Powdered Ginger

  1. Chicken as a meat has been depicted in Babylonian carvings from around 600 BC.[3] Chicken was one of the most common meats available in the Middle Ages. It was widely believed to be easily digested and considered to be one of the most neutral foodstuff.;
