The World’s Greatest Steak Sandwich

I’ve mentioned before, that Yuseff’s specialty is a perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked steak. Last week, we thought we were super hungry and could each eat a whole steak, but we were totally wrong, so we had two half-steaks sitting in the refrigerator, begging not to go to waste.

He got the bright idea for me to reinvent the Roast Beef sliders that I made for my Glee Party, using the leftover steak and regular-sized buns that we had in the freezer.

Dare I say that this was the BEST IDEA EVER. Seriously. This is a freaking good sandwich.

Greatest Steak Sandwichprint recipe

Step 1: Slice leftover steak into very thin strips.

Step 2: Combine 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise with 2 Teaspoons Horseradish. Spread the mixture on both the tops and bottoms of your buns.

Step 3: Layer your steak on the bottom bun, then cover with a slice of your choice of cheese. I went with shredded mozzarella and Yuseff used Pepperjack. Provolone is also a great option. Place the top bun over the cheese.


Step 4: Melt 2 Tablespoons Butter in the microwave and combine with 2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard, 1 Teaspoon Dried Minced Onion, and a couple splashes of Worcestershire Sauce.

Step 5: Spoon the butter/mustard sauce over the top bun. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
